Insufficient Adaptability for Mobile Law Enforcement Scenarios: Preliminary screening of prohibited items in law enforcement scenarios is challenging, and traditional tools lack adaptability. Frontline enforcement environments are complex and varied, including station patrols, street checks, and vehicle searches. Traditional drug screening tools are mostly desktop devices or large detection units, which are bulky and heavy. Officers need additional backpacks or handbags to carry them, hindering mobility in crowded stations and failing to meet the high-frequency movement demands of mobile enforcement.

Process Delays Hinder On-Site Response: Slow screening processes reduce the efficiency of frontline officers. Traditional screening tools require multiple operational steps, taking at least 5-10 minutes per test. During temporary checks of suspicious individuals at stations, prolonged testing times can attract crowds or allow suspects to transfer items. When multiple individuals need screening simultaneously, it further causes delays in the enforcement process.

Weak Identification of New Drugs: Limited screening accuracy leads to missed detections and challenges in precisely identifying suspicious substances. Traditional tools struggle to identify new synthetic drugs or drugs disguised as snacks. Some novel drugs have unique compositions that do not react with traditional reagents, resulting in "false negatives." For example, there is a case that a suspect disguised drugs as milk tea powder, which went undetected by traditional screening tools until confirmed by subsequent laboratory tests, delaying case progress.
